There’s Something About Autumn

There is something about the arrival of autumn that always makes me want to slow down a little. After such a long and glorious summer, filled with sunshine and heatwaves, it feels strange to suddenly notice the mornings becoming cooler and the evenings beginning to draw in.

We have been so lucky to enjoy such beautiful weather this year and I have certainly made the most of it. There is always a part of me that wants summer to carry on for just a little longer, but as the leaves begin to change and the first signs of autumn appear, I am starting to embrace the new season.

There is something really lovely about this time of year too. The changing colours outside, cosy evenings at home and that feeling of wanting to make our homes feel warm and welcoming again.

This year, I have been drawn to richer colours and warmer tones. Rather than the traditional autumn palette of oranges and greens, I wanted to create something that felt a little more considered and luxurious, while still capturing the warmth of the season.

The colours in our new Autumn Collection have been chosen with this in mind. Soft Cashmere, Spiced Clay, Velvet Cacao, Burnt Amber and Warm Taupe work together to create a warm and timeless palette that can easily be introduced into your home without feeling too seasonal.

I have always believed that you don't need to completely change your home every time the seasons change. Sometimes it can be as simple as adding a new vase, changing a few accessories or introducing some beautiful autumnal flowers.

Texture is also something I naturally find myself drawn to at this time of year. As the evenings get darker, adding layers of natural materials, ceramics, wood and soft furnishings can instantly make a room feel warmer and more inviting.

I think that is what I love most about autumn. It gives us an excuse to slow down and appreciate our homes a little more. To light a candle, make a cup of tea, add some flowers to the kitchen table and enjoy those simple moments that make home feel like home.
